Our 4-week International Bartender Course is built around four key modules: Bar Practice, Masterclasses, Flair, and Free Pour. You’ll finish the course with the skills and confidence to step behind any bar, anywhere in the world, and perform like a pro.
What you’ll learn
Practical bar training
As the saying goes, practise makes perfect so at EBS, you’ll spend most of your time behind our state-of-the-art bar stations making drinks and taking part in fun activities. We create an authentic bar environment with music playing and orders flowing to fully prepare you for a career in hospitality. This includes:

The role of the bartender
We teach you exactly how to become a bartender. It’s about so much more than mixing drinks. It requires a diverse skill set. You’ve got to have impeccable social skills as well as technical expertise and the ability to multitask and work under pressure. We’ll give you a clear insight into the role of the bartender and how you can be the very best.

Techniques and equipment
Have fun getting to grips with all the fundamental bartending techniques like building, stirring, shaking, straining, rolling, layering and muddling. You’ll also become familiar with bar equipment including what glasses to use, different types of ice, shakers, strainers and more.
Making cocktails
We’ll teach you the fundamentals of creating the perfect cocktail. You’ll learn how to make more than 65 international cocktails from mojitos and mai tais to bloody marys, espresso martinis and lots more during your time with us. You’ll also get to design your own unique cocktail during our mixology workshops and a lively cocktail competition. You’ll be tested on different cocktails each day and you’ll have plenty of opportunities to practise (and taste!) them.
Spirit knowledge
Impress your customers with your impressive spirit knowledge spanning vodka, gin, rum, tequila and whisky, to name just a few. You’ll learn about the different spirits and liqueurs from their history to production and flavouring techniques.
Alcohol Policy
Learn the basics of alcohol law. This unit covers the legal age for alcohol consumption in different countries, alcohol units, responsible consumption and service techniques. This is essential knowledge for your bartending career.

Students from all over the world attend our courses; therefore, you need to make your own way to the school.

Can I book now and pay later?
Yes! EBS is very flexible with the possibility to spread the cost.
Our most adaptable payment option is EBS Pay Later.* It’s a payment plan that allows you to pay the first instalment on the day of booking and then split the remaining cost over 6, 12, or 18 months (when you’ve graduated and found work!) Read more about EBS Pay Later.
NB: eligibility for EBS Pay Later requires a credit check and includes a monthly payment fee.
You can also:
– Pay in 3 instalments before the course begins. The first is 20% of the course price. The second and third are 40% each.
– Pay later in full within 7 days of booking.
– Pay in full upfront you make the booking
*The EBS Pay Later plan is only available for banks based in UK, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway.
How long is the course?
Our International Bartender Course takes place over 4 weeks. During this time, you’ll enjoy hands-on training with our experienced instructors, workshops, masterclasses and plenty of social activities.
Do you organise any social activities?
Most schools organise awesome activities to make sure you have the best possible EBS experience. You could tour a distillery, go scuba diving, go to a theme park, or visit world-famous attractions! All of the activities are optional as they are outside of course hours but we recommend that you take part as they make your time with EBS even more unforgettable.
